A note for your next lesson
One setup. A connected fraction lesson.
This free fraction worksheet generator combines teaching models, equivalent-fraction questions, and comparison practice. The same denominator selection, difficulty, seed, and paper size are used throughout your pack.
Choose the denominators and learning scope. The 3.NF-focused preset offers 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8.
Use the four tools to inspect models, number lines, and original practice questions.
Download the full classroom pack, or save student practice and teacher answers as separate PDFs.
Worked example
1/2 = 4/8
Split each of the two equal parts into four smaller parts. A half now covers four of eight equal parts, while the size of the whole stays fixed.
Does every setting meet Grade 3 expectations?
No. The 3.NF-focused preset limits denominators and comparison types, but it is only a teaching aid, not a complete curriculum or certification. Free exploration includes other denominators and unlike-denominator comparisons; teachers decide whether these suit their learners.
What is included in the PDF?
The complete pack contains fraction models, matched-length strips, labeled and blank number lines, both student practice sheets, and a clearly marked teacher answer key. Student-only downloads contain no answers. All materials are original and free to download, with no payment step.
Scope & sources
Common Core Mathematics, 3.NF (printed page 24) describes equal parts, number line representations, equivalence, and comparisons with the same whole; the Grade 3 denominator set is 2, 3, 4, 6, 8. This independent tool supports selected ideas and makes no endorsement or certification claim.
